ASKOHEAT+ 2.0
ASKOHEAT+ 2.0 is used in energy management systems that communicate via LAN, Modbus TCP/RTU, REST API JSON or 0-10V.
Our scope of delivery includes the ASKOHEAT+ 2.0 with ASKOHEAT-RC+,
in various performance classes as a 230V (*) or 400V version.
The ASKOHEAT-RC+ housing display shows the device status, up to 5 temperatures and the IP address of the heating element.
The following can be easily connected to the plugs supplied:
- RJ 12 connection cable (2.9 m) to the ASKOHEAT+ 2.0 (included in the scope of delivery)
- RS485/Modbus RTU (bidirectional meter)
- LAN/Modbus TCP (cable must be available on site)
- X2 for 0-10V, pump relay and heat pump request
- X3 for 4 additional PT 1000 sensors

The ASKOHEAT+ 2.0 converts your excess electricity from the PV system, wind turbine, water turbine or CHP into heat and stores it in your buffer tank / boiler in the house. This heat is then available to you when you need it.
They are designed for easy direct installation in hygiene, heating buffer or drinking water storage tanks to give the user the opportunity to store the maximum excess PV power.
The advantages of the ASKOHEAT+ 2.0 over a normal heating insert are as follows:
Settings
- The heating element has a local web interface. All settings can be conveniently made locally with the usual web browsers and the current device status is therefore displayed.
- Enter the following in the web browser: http://askoheat.local or the IP address e. g. http://192.168.1.29
- Or router-free the fixed IP address http://192.168.222.222 (see operating instructions)
Fitting
- The electrical connection of the device is easy to install using the plugs supplied.
- Thanks to these plugs, the appliance can be easily and completely disconnected from the power and data network for servicing.
- In insulated design with DipSwitch for all storage materials in Incoloy 825.
- Can be used for both heating and drinking water.
Function
- Depending on the model, the 3, 6, 7 and 19 power levels are controlled via Modbus TCP/RTU, REST API JSON or via 0-10V.
- Power to Heat works directly via bidirectional meters, energy managers or building automation controls.
- It can be controlled both via power specification and via excess energy control (feed-in value).

(*) The ASKOHEAT+ 2.0 receives the current values of the excess energy from the systems. There is no bidirectional connection, i.e. the energy managers do not actively control the ASKOHEAT+ 2.0
- Loxone template is available via Modbus TCP
- Extensive API or Modbus TCP/RTU for complete control and monitoring of the heating element by the customer's own automation system
- Button for emergency heating on the RC+ device = heating element switches to 100% output for 24 hours
- Heat pump request via potential-free input (power adjustable)
Comfort control
- Up to 4x PT1000 temperature sensors can be read out to display stratification temperature behaviour in the storage tank. In addition, the sensors can be individually selected for control.
- 4 dynamic legionella protection time programmes are integrated, daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly (interval start after last high temperature).
- Night-time electricity utilisation = drinking water can be kept in the boiler with night-time electricity (low tariff) at the desired time window and freely adjustable temperature.
- Safety temperature = A minimum temperature can be defined which should not be undercut.

This system can be expanded at any time with the ASKOSET+ energy meter and the ASKOHOME+ app.
